WECA envisions a future where the entertainment and creative arts workforce, from newcomers to allied professionals, is equipped, credentialed, and empowered through trauma-informed education and training. We see creative environments built on cultures of care, where safety and wellbeing are professional standards, and everyone has the tools to lead with skill and equity.
Mission
WECA is the premier hub for wellbeing education in the entertainment industry. We equip creative professionals, organizations, and emerging practitioners with trauma-informed knowledge, evidenced-based frameworks, and credentials to build and sustain healthier creative environments. Through education and community-centered partnerships, we work to reduce mental health stigma, expand access to support, and establish industry-wide standards rooted in equity and care.

WECA is guided by a commitment to intersectionality, trauma-informed practice, and educational equity. We believe the arts have the power to foster individual and community wellbeing, and that everyone working in entertainment deserves healthy, safe, and inclusive environments rooted in lived experience alongside research.
